The Premiere Consortium in the Marketing Discipline
The 2025 AMA-Sheth Foundation Doctoral Consortium will be hosted at Fisher College of Business, The Ohio State University in Columbus, OH on June 25-28, 2025. This unique event brings together the best doctoral students from business schools in the United States, Canada, Europe and the rest of the world. It is the only consortium that exposes doctoral students to the rich diversity of topics, methodological perspectives and theories that exist within the marketing discipline. This experience is designed to spark creativity and insight by challenging students to think outside their existing paradigms and broaden their views on what constitutes good research. Additionally, the consortium’s focus is to help students successfully transition to their first faculty position by providing guidance on research, teaching and service. Faculty scholars are selected who have made important contributions to the field and who are dedicated to helping doctoral students establish professional linkages among themselves and with faculty.

History
The first consortium was held in 1966. The program was launched under the leadership of Thomas A. Staudt, and from the beginning, the focus on research and relationship building was vital. In 1997, the name was changed to the AMA-Sheth Foundation Doctoral Consortium in recognition of the Madhuri & Jagdish N. Sheth Foundation’s commitment to financing part of the consortium on an ongoing basis with the establishment of an AMA Foundation endowed fund.

Faculty Accommodations
For participating faculty, we have blocked rooms at The Blackwell Inn, which is part of the Fisher Complex, where the event will take place, and thus, within a short walk of the consortium events. You can use this link, SHETHJUNE25, to book your room and get the preferential rate of $179/night. Deluxe King Bed and Deluxe Two Queen bed options are available, and there is a valet parking fee.
IMPORTANT: The Blackwell Inn only has 110 rooms, which is less than the number of participating faculty. If you are unable to secure an individual room, you can consider one of the following:
- Share a room with a longtime friend at the Blackwell and make a reunion out of attending Sheth.
- Book a room at the Marriott Columbus OSU, where we also have a block of rooms for a discounted rate of $161/night. Note that this option is not within walking distance of the Fisher Complex and will require a taxi/uber. Free shuttles from the hotel are available, as well as free parking for those who want to rent a car. Run of House (Mix of King and Queen options). Last Day to Book: Monday, May 26. Click here to book: Book your group rate for AMA SHETH Doctoral Symposium.
- Stay at the OSU dorms, where the fellows will also be staying. These accommodations are more modest but provide the convenience of walking to the Fisher Complex.
Fellows Accommodations
We have arranged for fellows to stay in single-occupancy dorm rooms on The Ohio State Campus. Dorm housing is single occupancy with a private bathroom. Reservations are available from June 24-29 and cost $88 per night. The price includes one throw blanket, two flat sheets, one pillow with pillowcase, one bath towel, one hand towel and one washcloth. Toiletries (shampoo, soap, etc) are not included. To start the process of booking your room, please fill out this online form.
Parking on The Ohio State Campus
There is no free parking on campus. However, parking is available across the street from the Fisher Complex at the Lane Avenue Garage for $5.5/hour or $18.50/day.
Closest Airport
